2. Sony GP-VPT2BT

The grip surface repels dust and moisture. Since the grip operates without cables, the covers for the camera ports can remain closed to ensure maximum dust and moisture resistance. Wireless Bluetooth communication means that no connection cables are needed to transmit control signals from the grip to the camera. Simply focus and shoot – completely cable-free.

With a compatible camera, you can use the remote for photo and video recordings while holding the grip normally, without needing to touch the camera. Any function assigned to the camera's C1 button can also be selected via the C1 button on the grip remote.

The quick tilt function allows you to easily adjust the ideal camera angle for a variety of subjects and perspectives. Whether you’re taking selfies or capturing a subject, the tilt function lets you comfortably capture the right moment every time.

Quickly and easily position the camera for product photography, selfies, or videos. Increase your chances of capturing the perfect moment, even when taking photos or videos without assistance. This, along with the easy angle adjustment of the grip, allows for vertical shots with optimal stability, even in under 90° locking positions.

The carefully designed grip offers optimal stability and comfort, whether attached to a compact camera or a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. The remote buttons are easily accessible while holding the grip, allowing for smooth, intuitive operation. Bend the integrated legs of the grip outward, and it transforms into a practical, stable tripod, giving you both hands free for vlogging and other activities.

Contra

4. Sony Vg-C3em

The design of the VG-C3EM grip makes operating the camera in a vertical position almost as easy as in a horizontal one, as it features nearly the same buttons and controls as the back of the camera. For example, the vertical grip includes a multifunction dial for quick selection of the AF point.

The shape of the VG-C3EM grip matches that of the α9 body. This ensures a more secure handling, and when shooting in portrait orientation, it provides nearly the same stability as in landscape orientation.

The VG-C3EM vertical grip can hold and charge two NP-FZ100 batteries. You can check the remaining battery charge in percentage via the battery level indicator on the camera's LCD display (minimum unit 1%). When one battery is depleted, the other automatically activates to ensure uninterrupted operation.

An effective dust and moisture-resistant sealing protects buttons and controls as well as connections and electrical contacts, ensuring stability even in harsh environments.

You can charge the batteries inserted in the vertical grip via the camera's USB port without removing the grip from the camera body.

This grip, like the α9, is made of magnesium alloy and is extremely robust and lightweight.

Using this accessory in combination with the adapter mounts LA-EA2/EA4 is not supported. When both are used simultaneously, it is difficult to hold the grip due to the narrow gap between the accessory and the lens adapter mount.
