This is a perfect starter set for landscape photography. This filter offers many of the advantages of a soft filter but is harder. This makes it a great alternative to a soft filter when there is a scene with a sky area that is partially covered by the landscape or has a jagged horizon. This filter is soft enough to be used over many smaller obstacles on the horizon, but it also provides the strength of the filter in the area you need, which is often closer to the horizon. Note: If you want to add a polarizer, please be aware that this is only possible with the LEE100 polarizing ring or by purchasing the LEE100 polarizer.
To mount the filter holder on your lens, you will also need an adapter ring (standard or wide-angle).
