Are the sticks also compatible with the ASUS MAXIMUS X HERO AC motherboard (LGA 1151, Intel Z370, ATX)?

Yes, they should work together without any problems.
However, you need to activate an XMP profile in the BIOS of the motherboard in order to be able to use the full speed of the bars.
