As far as I know, the telephone only works with a PoE network connection (Power-over-Ethernet) without an external power supply unit. However, a PoE switch must be available in the house and the telephone must be networked there.

Since I use the T48G privately and not on a company network, I had to connect the power supply unit. Without the power supply unit, the device does not work for me.
