Can I eventually expand the desktop to 3 monitors (1 x Surface, 2 x external monitors) via the docking station with two external monitors? (so that I see something different on each screen)

I wanted to do it that way too. But it does not work yet. Despite the firmware update and the original Microsoft Surface adapter (VGA and HDMI), both monitors are not recognised. At the moment, the Surface Book is my second monitor.

As far as I know, it depends on the resolution. 4K will only be possible with 1 additional monitor. 1080p will probably have 2.
