Can I use it to connect a monitor to give presentations, for example? Unfortunately, I can't find an HDMI connection.

The docking station only has two mini-DP connections. For HDMI you still need an adapter (must be an Active Adapter). Recommend the one from Microsoft Microsoft Mini Display Port to (HDMI, 23cm) or from Club 3D Club 3D Active Mini DisplayPort to (HDMI, 15cm).
