Can I use this cable to connect a MacBook Pro (Mid 2015) to an iMac 27" (2009). I want to use the iMac as a display.

Helpful answer

This should work if the iMac has a Mini Displayport and the MacBook has a Thunderbolt. Press the key combination Command-F2 on the iMac that is to serve as the monitor.
