There is a mode where you can "train" various activities. One of them is climbing stairs. I assume that if you have done this training mode a few times, the band should recognise when you climb stairs in the future and indicate this as an activity. However, I have never tested the function and therefore do not know if it works.

Of course, it measures the steps you take when climbing stairs (I just tried it out). An altimeter is not built in.....

No it does not measure.I am otherwise very satisfied with the band.It is relatively simple,but has everything I expect from a Fit Tracker at the Presi.
