Question about i-tec Thunderbolt 3 Dual Dock

Does this dock work with the MBP M1 and Big Sur to connect a second external monitor? According to Apple, only the connection of an external display is possible, but there are some articles on the net that show that this does work.... Apparently a driver on the respective docking station makes this possible, which converts the signal accordingly... I have already combined several docks and adapters and various cables and connection options, unfortunately without success so far. For this reason I am looking for alternatives. Thanks for your comments to the Mäc newbie :)

Hello,

M1 MacBook does support at most 1 external monitor. If you would use this docking station with M1 MacBook then you could use just 1 external monitor.

If you need 2 external monitors, then you need a docking station that is based on DisplayLink technology.
If you would contact our technical support we could recommend you a docking station for you.

Mine is still an Intel but BigSur is on it and my Cinema Display runs without problems.
