"Infrared triggering allows EOS cameras that have a built-in Speedlite transmitter (e.g. the EOS 760D, EOS 70D and EOS 7D Mark II) to trigger the Speedlite 430EX III-RT from a distance of up to 10 metres without the need for any additional equipment."

I use this flash on a 550D. It works without any problems. I would not expect any problems with successor models either.
