Dumb question: Do I see it right that the APS-C lens on an A7 is only 10MP in crop mode - but how is that in terms of video -? So I could use it on both sensor formats - for photo then rather on the APS-C camera...but video with the A7 would have no quality loss ?

That's absolutely right, I tested it that way and it works. 4K corresponds to approx. 8.something megapixels, so that the sensor area in crop mode still offers sufficient resolution with around 10 megapixels.
