ehm, I can also use the thing like a Bluetooth speaker, right? Just play back the sound from the Macbook, e.g. YouTube, Netflix, etc. oO I don't have Apple Music and TV. Thank you.

That is possible. But the devices must be in a common WLAN. Simply connecting via cable does not work. It can be stupid on the road if you don't have your router with you!
