Good day I would like to save the battery of my Surface Laptop 3. Is it possible to deactivate the battery charging function of the HP Essential Dock?

Unfortunately, I do not know this! Try to find a setting in the BIOS on the Surface so that the battery is only charged to 80%. This is possible with most hp/lenovo notebooks.

I agree with cobol's answer that you should be able to set the battery saving in the laptop.
