Question about Samsung Multiport Adapter

Hello all. I have just managed to get my phone to stream a picture to my PC using an HD60 S Capture Card. I also bought this Samsung multiport adapter for my Samsung S8+ device. When I connect my phone to the PC using the capture card and HDMI splitter etc, my phone does not charge through the adapter. What can I do? Thank you for your answer.

For general understanding; you have connected the smartphone directly to this multiport adapter, then the power supply unit also to this multiport adapter at the USB-C connection and behind it the splitter and then the capture card ?
Because there is no power transfer via HDMI; i.e. you need 2 power supplies; one for the smartphone and one for the Elgato.
