Hello all. Is this product really only compatible for HP as stated? USB-C and DisplayPort should be universal.

I normally have an HP Elitebook 1040 on it, but the hub also works fine with the Samsung Note 9 in Dex mode. with monitor, keyboard, mouse, network.

Works flawlessly for me with a Microsoft Surface Pro incl. charging function via USB-C. Monitor and all kinds of peripherals are also connected.
