Question about OWC Aura Pro X2
Hello, can this SSD be used in an iMac 2019 (Model A2116, iMac 19.2) that comes with a traditional hard drive? Is the M.2 port available in the iMac? Thank you.
"Aura Pro X2 SSDs can only be installed in 21.5-inch iMac models equipped with a factory-installed SSD or Fusion drive" (quote Applestore from Lucerne).
... and according to my experience:
Mac devices in which ONLY an HDD is installed have no ports for an additional SSD ex works. A suitable adapter and/or cable plus mounting must be purchased separately. Or you can buy the right conversion kit.
