Question about Audioengine B-Fi

Hello, do I always have to use the B-Fi app to play music with the streamer and an Android smartphone? Or can I also open Spotify directly with an existing connection to Streamer? Or in other words, when I open the B-Fi app and select Spotify, is the interface exactly the same as in the smartphone app or a "reduced version"?

Helpful answer

Hi - You certainly don't need to open the B-Fi app anymore once the Audioengine has been installed. Once it's installed, you simply open Spotify or another streaming device, and then the Audioengine should appear in the Devices option on Spotify (next to the play button). This way, the Spotify app streams directly to the Audioengine. It works very well.

You can select B-Fi as a playback device within Spotify.

I don't use the app at all (except the setup). You can use streaming from within Spotify and other apps that support Airplay protocol.
