Question about Targus USB-C Dual 4K

Hello everyone. I have the Targus USB-C Dual 4K docking station. Everything works but the device gets extremely hot and worries me a bit. Have two monitors / 1 keyboard / 1 notebook connected. NO external power source connected. Does anyone know why the device gets so hot? Can I still operate it like this?

Mine is not hot, but it is very warm. So far it is still working fine. I don't know if it's normal for it to get so hot.
