the walkie talkie does not have a sleep mode. if it is left on, it can be used at any time, even by external parties on the same frequency. it has happened to our children that someone spoke on the same frequency during the night. it must always be switched off manually.

The device is switched on and when you want to speak, you press a "send" button.
You can also ring the receiver to let it know that you want to talk.

The unit does not have a sleep mode in this sense. If it is switched off completely after use, communication is no longer possible. However, as long as both devices are switched on, you can talk to each other at any time.
