Hello, I would like to upgrade my Synology DS1815+ with this. does anyone know if this is possible? Form factor would fit.

I can't say if it works with the Synology DS1815+. I have installed the two bars in a QNAP and they ran flawlessly. I think they should also work fine on the Synology (provided you can install 16gb).
