How is this docking station powered so that it can charge the laptop? I only have one USB C port on my Dell laptop, which is used for the charger with USB C port.

Your power supply unit with USB-C connection is connected to this docking station.
The connection is not visible in the pictures. It is located where the power symbol is printed.
