When I use it to film 360 video it lasts less than hour. Maybe 40 min. But since I have it mounted on my motorcycle it is connected by cable to power source. When you record it does not charge, than it is discharging, but as soon you stop recording it continues charging. I am turning it on and off lots of times during the day (using the app on my phone) and this way it lasted whole day (more than 12 hours), and it could last as long as you have power supply connected. It is charging relatively fast. Originally I was thinking of buying a second battery and dual charger but I don't think I am going to to that. Without motorcycle I use my 10Ah battery power brick also whole day. On your vacation, ride, walk... You will record a lot of small clips, not one 2 hours long clip. So with recharging between recordings, you will be just fine with external power supply.
