I am new to the field. Do I understand correctly that if my Speedlite 600 EX-RT is attached to my Canon EOS R6, I can then control the Speedlite 430EX lll-RT for remote flash? What do the professionals here say, does it make more sense to order a transmitter at the same time, as it is better to use 2 remote Speedlite flashes on a set with a softbox for a portrait shoot?

Helpful answer

It works very well with this flash to flash unleashed. Without an additional unit. I have already done this with this Spidlitte
One flash is enough with a softbox. I learnt this in the course.

It depends on what you want. It is technically possible to couple the two flashes. I have often done this. But maybe you just want an unleashed flash without fill light from the front through the attached flash. Then you would need a transmitter. I now have three system flashes and a transmitter. So I have all the options.
