i have a d850 and almost bought a Nikon DX Objective which is not optimal.... so my question is what about the Objective?

DX lenses are for the APS-C format, so they don't make sense for a full-frame camera like the D850. The camera needs good glass for the almost 46MPixel. I can recommend the Tamron SP 24-70 / 2.8. I am very satisfied.

I use this lens on my full-frame Nikon D750 without any problems. It is also suitable for the D850.
