As a UPC customer with a UPC TV Box, you can download the apps to the TV Box. The same applies to the Swisscom TV Box. The Sony TV itself cannot load any apps. Netflix and Youtube are available.

So I understand it like this:
1. the device is not a mobile phone, there is no app download here.
2. Apps are those apps that appear when you press the Home button (Netflix, YouTube, etc.).
