Unfortunately, it has now happened for the second time that the USB-C port on my hp Elitebook no longer works after about 2 months of use - not even on other docking stations.
The connection via the old USB port still works.

Is this a known problem and is there a solution?

Yep... I have the same problem. Additionally, I have the problem when I have a conference with MS Teams, after a certain time the monitors switch off (2 HDMI monitors connected). Would look for an alternative....
