I would like to know the difference between the RS-80N3 remote release and this one. Is it just the connection or the lower compatibility with other cameras?

The RS-60 E3 has a jack plug and only fits cameras that have a corresponding E3 connection. It therefore only fits EOS cameras with an E3 interface.

The RS-80N3 does NOT have a jack plug at the end of the cable, but a plug for an N3 interface of EOS cameras. So it only fits EOS cameras with N3 interface.
