I would like to transfer photos from my RX100 VII to my smartphone (Android). The camera is already registered in Imaging Edge Mobile and the location transfer to the meta files works perfectly. However, I can't find the "Scan QR code" function anywhere. What am I doing wrong? I would be very grateful for any help.

I understand your concern 👍 You're probably not doing anything wrong - it's mostly that the pairing flow of the RX100 VII and the Imaging Edge Mobile app (Sony) isn't very intuitive.

A few points to clarify:
1. QR Code and first connection
- The QR code does not appear until the very first connection between your camera and the application.
- Once your camera has been registered with Imaging Edge Mobile, the QR code is useless: the transfer goes straight through the registered Wi-Fi.
- This is why you no longer see the "Scan QR code" option → it has disappeared, because your RX100 VII is already linked to your smartphone.
2 How to transfer your photos now
- On your RX100 VII, press the Menu button → go to Network → Send to smartphone.
- Choose your images, then select This smartphone.
- The camera will then create the Wi-Fi connection (it may ask you to enable Wi-Fi on your smartphone).
- Open Imaging Edge Mobile → the app will connect automatically and the photos will be transferred.
3 If you absolutely must reuse a QR code
- You need to delete the device registered in Imaging Edge Mobile (in the app settings).
- Then make the association again: on your RX100 VII → Menu → Network → Connect to smartphone → (with QR Code).
- The device will then display a QR code, which you scan in the app (Add a new device).

👉 So to sum up: if your aim is just to transfer photos, you don't need the QR code - it's only for the very first setup.

Would you like me to give you a detailed step-by-step guide (screenshot by screenshot) to transferring images from the RX100 VII to Android, without going through the QR code again?
