If I buy it without 4G, does that mean that if my mobile phone is not within range, it alone will not be able to access the internet? And if I have my mobile phone within range then it can? Thank you for the answer

You have understood that correctly, but the watch sing can also connect to the mobile phone via WiFi as long as both are on the same WiFi network.

You can also connect the watch to your home wifi even if the mobile phone is not within range.
