Ignoring the legalities, how far can I fly the drone away from me (according to the manufacturer) and how high can I fly the drone from the launch point (according to the manufacturer)?

The default setting for the height above ground is 120 m, this can be increased to a maximum of 500 m. I haven't tried out the distance yet - so far it's definitely about 1500 m. Incidentally, the drone flies back autonomously if radio contact is lost.
