Is there anything that needs to be taken care of after purchase as the drone weighs >250g (drone registration, licence to fly, insurance etc)?

Update 01.01.2023

Due to the new drone regulations, a registration as well as the small flight licence A1/A3 is mandatory!
In addition, a minimum horizontal distance of 150m from residential/commercial/industrial and recreational areas must be maintained.
Flying is only allowed on sight, so flying with video goggles is only allowed with an escort who is standing next to you and always has the drone in sight.

Liability insurance usually covers drones, if in doubt take out additional drone liability insurance. DJI Refresh Care 1+ year is advantageous for repairs and replacement of the device in case of massive damage. Flight licence A1 is advantageous as it is over 250 grams. Registration of the drone even if not used commercially is currently not necessary. Swiss laws will most likely be adapted to EU law and their databases in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
