Is this lens compatible with the Canon EOS 77D? Do I need to buy an additional adapter that connects the Canon EOS 77D to the Sigma lens or does it fit by itself?

Helpful answer
The lens is compatible with all EOS SLR cameras (e.g. EOS 7, EOS 77D, EOS 5D, EOS 6 ...) and does not require an adapter ring between the lens and the camera.

However, I don't understand why the lens loses its ultra wide angle characteristic as soon as we add it to our camera (in my case, EOS 77D), while it is supposed to be adapted to Canon cameras, but also Nikon and Sony ?
