Is this remote control also compatible with the new Sony a 7 IV? I have not found an entry for an IF remote control in the Sony menu!

Such a remote control is no longer up to date and is useless if you are not standing in front of the camera. As far as I know, the IR receiver was dropped from the 7IV anyway. I would buy a Bluetooth remote control for it.
