Pictures are misleading and are far from the final product. Since I did not install it and returned it, I am not sure if I should write a review for it or not! A big thorn in my side was the misleading pictures. They look very much like a heatspreader or thermal pad is stuck over all the components. As is the case with the Kingston Fury SSDs. In the end, however, there is only a small item identification sticker on it. For me, this is mostly about principle. We as consumers are already being led around by the nose enough. Heat, installed in a desktop, is not really a problem of PCIe 4.0 SSD's, they even run most efficiently above about 60 degrees. Nevertheless, a heatspreader helps to distribute heat better. As I said, it's a matter of principle. It is precisely because of principles that I feel it is wrong to evaluate a product as a whole on the basis of a discrepancy that I have not even tested.
