Since the 6400 is much more expensive, but the ZV-E10 has the same sensor and the new Sony colours, I'm thinking of buying it purely for photography. Can anyone tell me if this is a good combination with a Tamron 17-70 or Sigma 18-50 as an "always on" camera?

It's certainly a good combination. With the Sigma, however, it is unstabilised.

Hi, I actually only use the ZVE10 for filming. I don't think this camera is really suitable for "pure" photography. The fact that there is no optical viewfinder (only a screen) may satisfy a minimalist. The screen is not really enough for me. In my opinion, it's an emergency solution (if I have nothing else to hand...) I actually use the Tamron as an "always on" lens. In my opinion, it has a high quality, high-quality finish - and an aperture of 2.8!
