The heart rate belt is suitable for swimming, but is primarily designed for open water swimming. It can occasionally be used for pool swimming, but should be worn under swimwear to avoid slipping. Heart rate data is stored during the swim and transferred to a Garmin device after the swim if it is connected via ANT+.
