The ProArt mainboards do not have a DidplsyPort output, but a DisplayPort INPUT. Why? Sure, you can feed a video signal through it, which can then be passed on to the monitor via USB4. But if I have such a DisplayPort signal, why not send it directly to the monitor? Why feed it into the mainboard first? Does anyone know?

So to put it more clearly:

If you use a USB hub built into the monitor, you do not need to run a separate USB cable to the monitor.

Correct?

But you yourself realised why "you can use it to feed in a video signal, which can then be passed on to the monitor via USB4".

Because if the video signal of a separate graphics card is also transported via the USB-C cable. You can save a cable, which reduces the number of cables needed between the PC and the table surface. This may be exaggerated for you, but for certain people who want to have the cleanest possible setup, this is an advantage.
