Question about Corsair Vengeance

This DRAM is specified with 6800MHz. However, the BIOS of the board recognises it with a maximum of 4800MHz and if I switch off the automatic function and set 6800, the computer no longer boots. MemTest86 in turn identifies it as "PC5-28800 DDR5 3600MHz / Corsair CMK64GX5M2680" What is correct now? In any case, the RAM cannot be operated with the specified nominal frequency of 6800MHz.

The 6800MHz is basically just the speed at which Corsair guarantees that the RAM will run stably. It is normal for the board to initially set 4800MHz. The sweet spot for AM5 systems, for example, is 6000MHz. I would recommend that you first select a stable 6000MHz profile and then slowly work your way up from there (increase voltage, change latencies).
You can also try not to go so high with the MHz and instead try to reduce the latencies, whereby CAS32 is already pretty good at 6000MHz in my opinion.

Since you are already pretty much in the OC range with 6800MHz, you will certainly get help in the appropriate forums.

In my opinion, the type and performance of the motherboard is decisive. It must therefore support the corresponding RAM with the corresponding clock frequency. A compatible processor is also required. In my case, this RAM works with 6800.

I activated the xmp profile and then had game crashes. Since then I have clocked it manually to 6400MHz. Everything runs wonderfully.
