Question about HP G2
What am I supposed to do with this stupid combo cable that doesn't fit any HP desktop?..It's fixed to docking station - can't be replaced by USBc! Only wanted USB C to connect to laptop!
Hello, you have bought the wrong version. The G2 Station is available in a 230W and 120W version. The 230W comes with the combo cable which is for HP notebooks. The 120W version is with USB-C version (without the power connector for HP notebooks).
Unfortunately, this is not really visible here at Digitec.
In my opinion, the cable is already replaceable if you open the station with the lower screw - but then you still need a suitable USB-C cable that can transfer power and data reasonably (USB-C is currently a brutal mess as far as that goes...). I wouldn't try that, though, and just replace the station with the correct one.
