Question about HP Universal

When I connect my HP EliteBook 840 to the docking station, the CAD programme (Archicad and Vectorworks) automatically slows down. I draw with two monitors that are connected with Displayport. If I now connect the two screens directly to the laptop with HDMI, everything works perfectly. How can this be? In my opinion, I have put everything into operation correctly. The product is unusable like this. Many thanks for feedback

While looking for a docking station, I came across the test at Heise.de.
....Es contains an additional USB graphics chip from DisplayLink. This means that - unlike all the other candidates - it can drive 4K screens at 60 Hz. Maybe this is a problem

We cannot reproduce the described effect/behaviour with us - but we use other software, which is probably not the reason. Possibly ask the manufacturer directly whether the bottleneck could be the docking station or the connection to the notebook.
