The charging function works perfectly for my HP Monitor and HP Probook. USB Tip C.
Unfortunately I cannot say anything about the Elitebook x360.

Your notebook must be marked with a "lightning" symbol in the plugged-in USB C socket. Otherwise, the device will simply function without a charging option.
