Absolutely. Only one cable ever goes to my Macbook. I have everything else plugged into the dock: 1x 4K monitor, 1x 1440 monitor, sound card, NAS, 1-2 SSDs, 2-3 other usb devices, Ethernet...
It's really expensive, but it's by far the coolest and most practical part of my desk.
