Here are a few suggestions from us regarding steeping times depending on the type:

• Black tea: 2 to 3 minutes is considered the optimal steeping time for black tea. The longer you steep it, the more bitter the taste.
• Green tea: 2 minutes is the perfect steeping time – during which more caffeine is released. The longer you let the bag steep, the more bitter the taste. However, this tea is also said to have anti-inflammatory properties.
• White tea: Should be steeped for about 5 minutes.

These are just guidelines. Ultimately, it always depends on the exact type of tea – and of course, it’s a matter of personal taste.
