A side note: Chinese and Japanese ceremonies have tried to imitate the movement of this majestic bird, whose call resembles the sound of a trumpet. In ancient prints, the crane was depicted with a stone in its foot. Legend has it that the crane was "on guard" and if it fell asleep, the stone would fall and wake the bird.
