Fully integrated as one part of the backpack. However, I don’t see many scenarios of how to break it … IMO a tail risk scenario. Amazing backpack.

is sewn (one piece with the outer layer of the rucksack). However, I see no reason why it should break, as everything on the rucksack is extremely sturdy.
