The contributions to the 51st Congress of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics, presented as plenary sessions, lectures, seminars, or industry-associated symposia, are documented in this volume. The chairpersons of the individual events, prominent representatives from various fields, have also prepared summaries in addition to the discussions. Thus, the congress volume reflects the current state of knowledge in research and practice in the areas of gynecology/oncology, obstetrics/perinatology, and endocrinology/reproductive medicine. For a better overall perspective, the contributions have been organized thematically, and the titles of the abstracts for the scientific publications have been integrated into the practical chapters.
