An explosion of small architectural journals in the 1960s and 1970s stimulated a radical transformation of architectural culture, as these journals acted as platforms for innovation and debate. Clip/Stamp/Fold presents seventy of these small magazines from this period. The book presents a substantial selection of documents together with documentation of the research that the project has generated during its continuous travels over the past four years, beginning with the exhibition at Storefront New York in November 2006. Also presented are transcripts of the events in which editors and designers were invited to discuss their magazines, as well as over 100 significant issues in which the changing density and progress of the "small magazine" phenomenon can be traced. transcripts of more than forty interviews with editors and designers from around the world, a selection of facsimiles of the magazines, and a poster showing more than 1200 magazine covers sighted during the work on the book.
