The book "Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and Ecto-and Endo-Parasites" provides a comprehensive examination of the association between acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and parasitic infections in children. This study analyzed 117 children with ALL, 117 immunocompetent children as a control group, and 24 children who had discontinued their chemotherapy for ALL and were healthy. The research included various laboratory tests, such as the analysis of stool, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and blood samples. The results indicate that the infection rates in leukemic children were significantly higher than in immunocompetent children, suggesting a possible link between ALL and parasitic infections. This study is significant for healthcare professionals and offers valuable insights into the impact of parasitic infections on the health of children with leukemia.
