Information about the series publication: Alpha plus - Basic Course in Literacy is an advancement of the established teaching material Alpha plus - Basic Course. It is based on the concept for a nationwide literacy course and is designed for 300 teaching units. Learners are introduced to the Latin script and acquire basic knowledge of the German language through a gradual progression. New features: additional project suggestions and further tips for differentiated work in the appendix, a workbook with numerous exercises as well as short texts for reading and writing, self-assessment tests for monitoring learning progress in every second lesson of the workbook (with solutions), and on the website for the teaching material: additional resources such as name cards, a poster with an overview of sounds and letters, and numerous picture and word cards.
