The book "Semiological Analysis of the Motifs of Monetary Signs" by Trudon Kabangu Mpinga offers an in-depth examination of the semiological meanings conveyed by the visual messages of the Congolese franc. Through the use of hermeneutic and content analyses, as well as models of denotative and connotative semiotics, the significance of the symbols and motifs introduced during the currency reform of 1998 is interpreted. The study highlights the five central messages that initiated the reform and analyzes how these are reflected in the motifs of the banknotes.
